The main differences between the 1st gen Trio and upgrade Trio is the Tri-screen all-in-one design, optional magnets, built-in kickstand, thinner & lighter, updated hinge design, and larger display on the base model (12.5 vs 13.3-inches).

Yes! Each unit comes with 2 screens, unlike the 1st gen.
How can I use Trio triple monitors and a laptop screen?
Directly connect two Trio monitors to two USB ports on the computer and they will work as two additional screens. The laptop screen will remain unchanged and act as a third screen,
Do I need to install anything to make my Trio work?
If your computer has a USB-C port with DisplayPort enabled (this is built into the computer), the TRIO will be plug-and-play. Otherwise additional drivers will be needed to use the Trio.
Do two Trio monitors slow down the computer?
No, unless you are performing intensive graphical processes (gaming, streaming, video processing) on more than one monitor at a time.
Can the monitors be turned off independently? If I only want to use one monitor
They plug in separately. Just leave one unplugged.
Can the magnetism affect the primary monitor i.e. spoil it?

Only CRTs (Cathode Ray Tubes) are susceptible to magnet interference, as they incorporate a built-in magnet to control electrons. Modern displays, such as LCDs and OLEDs, are entirely safe from magnets and won't be affected by their presence.
How is it powered? If it's powered from my laptop that seems like it would exhaust the battery. Is there a power cord for charging?
Trio monitors are powered by USB. It works when connecting your laptop’s USB port. Plug and play with usb c ports
Is this touch screen?
No, it is display monitor when you mount it to the laptop so that touch screen is not necessity whereas it would increase the cost.
Is there a process to have switch work with this?
First, connect the Switch power cable to the monitor, make sure it is plugged into the charging port.
Now, connect the switch.
My Trio is mirroring my laptop screen, how can I change this? (Windows Users)
Right click on your desktop while Trio is connected and choose “Display Setting”. Click on the “Duplicate these displays” drop down box. When the dropdown box is opened, choose “Extend these displays”. Then click “Apply”. Now you are in Extend Mode.

Plug your monitor, go to “System Preferences- Display-Arrangement”, uncheck the “Mirror Displays” box. For Catalina user using USB A port, if you want to use your screen on the left side, please download the driver but not DisplayLink Manager App.
